If you haven’t heard of Fortnite yet, chances are you won’t be able to avoid it much longer. It is everywhere, and everyone seems to be playing it – especially younger gamers, and it is everywhere in schools. It is playable on various different platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, iOS and Android.
There are two different games under the Fortnite umbrella – Fortnite: Save the World and Fortnite Battle Royale. Save the World is essentially a shooter game, which can be played by up to four people who must survive against zombies. Battle Royale can be played by up to 100 people, with the aim to be the last person remaining. In both games, players can use a pickax tool to collect resources, and then build up fortifications.
Fortnite is undoubtedly one of the most popular games around, with Battle Royale having more than 10 million players in the first two weeks of release.
