According to Microsoft, current Xbox One console discounts for the holiday season will be coming to an end on January 3rd, 2015.
The console was given a well-publicised price cut of $50 in the US back in November, which helped boost console sales majorly for Microsoft, even leading to the Xbox One trumping PlayStation 4’s sales for the first time in 10 months in November.
What’s interesting is that Xbox One also received a price cut in the UK by Microsoft for the holiday season, which again helped the console triumph in the console wars leading up to Christmas. Yet so far, there have been no announcements regarding prices rising back to RRP so far.
It’ll be a bad business decision in our opinion if they raise the prices in the UK as the Xbox One really isn’t as popular as it should be, with the original pricing structure being one of the main reasons gamers chose to go to the PlayStation 4.
